Computers have been a fascination of mine ever since I can remember.

During the time when I was a small child & desktop computers were in their infancy, my father managed a small store in a strip mall that was a couple doors down from a Radio Shack. I used to spend my afternoons there playing with whatever systems they had on display and learning whatever I could from the employees.

My love of computers and technology has never died. By the time I was in high school I was building desktops and I eventually studied Information Systems Security in college (although I stopped short about a year before graduating).

Since then, I have spent time working as an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician, a Network Engineer and before leaving my last job was a lead onsite technician responsible for several hundred end-users spread among a couple dozen different business clients.

In May of 2008, I left the security of emplyment and started my own company.

I have performed service for a wide range of technology issues including systems analysis and design, systems integration, project management, managed services (file/email server administration, web hosting, offsite backups, Etc,....), but my specialization has always been in the field of Information Security.

While I still spend most of my free time reading, I have recently re-discovered an old love of writing as well, and decided to come here and author a few (hopefully helpful) hubs. I am doing this mostly just for the enjoyment of writing and to improve my skills in preperation of some other projects.
